To Secure the Safety ofFishery Products(as of 30th June)

Radioactive substances have been detected in fishery products and seawaters in the vicinity of the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, which originated from the discharges of contaminated water, atmospheric fallout and washout with precipitation into the sea.

Mr. Masanori Miyahara, Deputy Director-General of the Fisheries Agency held a press briefing at FPCJ at 11:00am on Thursday, June 30, on the monitoring programs for fishery products and seawaters, as well as measures to ensure the safety of fishery products on the market.
